The bill proposes an appropriation of $4,000,000 from the bond proceeds fund to the commissioner of transportation for a grant to Murray County. This funding is designated for the design, construction, furnishing, and equipping of Phase 2 of a new highway department maintenance facility located in the city of Slayton. The facility will include space for storing equipment, chemicals, and materials related to highway maintenance, as well as power and fuel supply systems and improvements to manage traffic safety and stormwater issues.

Additionally, the bill authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to the amount of $4,000,000 to provide the necessary funds for this project. The bond issuance will be conducted in accordance with existing Minnesota statutes and constitutional provisions. The effective date of this section is set for the day following its final enactment.
