The bill appropriates $14,915,000 from the bond proceeds fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to the city of Wayzata. This funding is designated for the final phase of the downtown lakefront restoration project, which includes acquiring real property, designing, constructing, and equipping various improvements such as an eco park, the restoration of the historic Section Foreman House and Wayzata Depot site, enhancements to the lake edge on Lake Minnetonka, and upgrades to Wayzata Beach and Klapprich Park. Additionally, it includes design work for new public safety facilities that will serve the downtown lakefront and community park improvements. This appropriation supplements a previous allocation made in 2020.

To finance this appropriation, the bill authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to the amount of $14,915,000, following the procedures outlined in Minnesota Statutes and the Minnesota Constitution. The effective date of this section is set for the day following its final enactment.
