The bill mandates that retailers selling skin-lightening products display signage warning consumers about the dangers of mercury-containing products. Effective August 1, 2026, retailers must ensure that the signage is prominently placed in a location that is easily visible to customers. The sign must inform the public that selling such products is illegal and may lead to health risks.

Additionally, the bill requires the commissioners of the Pollution Control Agency and Health to collaborate with community organizations to develop the signage. The signage must include information in multiple languages, specifically English, Spanish, Hmong, Somali, French, Ethiopian, and Oromo, to ensure broad accessibility and awareness among diverse communities.
