The school board must adopt a written resolution detailing the purpose and amount of the transfer, which must be posted on the school’s website and communicated to the commissioner.

Additionally, the bill provides relief from certain state mandates for the school years 2024-2025, 2025-2026, and 2026-2027. It permits school districts and charter schools to adopt resolutions to not comply with state laws or rules enacted after January 1, 2023, including those from recent legislative sessions. Each decision to not comply must be recorded, posted online, and reported to the commissioner. Both sections of the bill will take effect the day following final enactment.
