This bill appropriates $1,000,000 from the bond proceeds fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to Lake County. The funds are designated for the site preparation, including demolition, design, construction, furnishing, and equipping of a new bridge to replace the existing Kawishiwi Bridge near Spruce Road in Lake County. Additionally, the county is authorized to enter into a lease or management agreement for the maintenance and operation of the new bridge.

To finance the appropriation, the bill authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to the amount of $1,000,000, following the procedures outlined in Minnesota Statutes and the Minnesota Constitution. The provisions of this bill will take effect the day after it is enacted.
