The bill appropriates $2,894,000 from the bond proceeds fund to the Minnesota Department of Transportation for the purpose of realigning marked Trunk Highway 60 in the city of Wabasha. This funding will be used for predesign, design, engineering, and construction of local roads and city utilities associated with the highway realignment. The improvements will include sidewalks, sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, stormwater management, street lighting, and other enhancements aimed at increasing pedestrian safety and developing workforce housing.

To finance this appropriation, the bill authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to the amount of $2,894,000, following the procedures outlined in Minnesota Statutes and the state constitution. The provisions of this bill will take effect the day after it is enacted.
