The bill appropriates $8,000,000 from the general fund for the Progress Parkway project in Eveleth, Minnesota. This funding is designated for various stages of the project, including predesign, design, engineering, environmental analysis and mitigation, land acquisition, construction, and reconstruction. The improvements will focus on intersection enhancements and the realignment and extension of Progress Parkway from U.S. Highway 53 and St. Louis County State-Aid Highway 142 to Trunk Highway 37 and Station 44 Road.

This appropriation is specifically for fiscal year 2026 and is a one-time allocation that will remain available until June 30, 2029. It is noted that this funding is in addition to a previous appropriation made for the same purpose in Laws 2023, chapter 68, article 1, section 17, subdivision 17.
