The bill amends Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 97A.451, subdivision 8, to modify the age at which residents can fish without a license. Specifically, the age limit is changed from 90 years old to 65 years old.

As a result of this amendment, residents who are 65 years of age or older will now be allowed to take fish without needing to obtain a fishing license, thereby expanding access to fishing for older residents in Minnesota.
