This bill appropriates $33,000,000 from the bond proceeds fund to the Public Facilities Authority for the city of Stillwater. The funds are designated for the predesign, design, construction, and equipping of up to three water treatment plants, along with associated water mains and other necessary infrastructure, aimed at removing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from the city's drinking water wells.

Additionally, the bill authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to the same amount to finance this appropriation. The provisions for the bond sale will follow the guidelines set forth in Minnesota Statutes and the Minnesota Constitution. The bill will take effect the day after it is enacted.
