The bill appropriates a total of $3,000,000 from the general fund for capital investment in historical sites in Minnesota, specifically targeting the rehabilitation of the George Stoppel historic site and improvements to the History Center of Olmsted County. Of this amount, $850,000 is designated for the restoration of the George Stoppel stone house and barn, along with the construction of an accessible pathway to the farmstead, which is recognized on the National Register of Historic Places and managed by the Olmsted County Historical Society.

Additionally, $2,150,000 is allocated for the design and renovation of the History Center of Olmsted County located in Rochester. All renovations must adhere to the standards set forth in the U.S. Secretary of the Interior's Treatment of Historic Properties. The funding is a one-time appropriation and will remain available until the completion or abandonment of the projects, in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
