This bill amends Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 126C.01, subdivision 8, to expand the definition of "shared time pupils." The new definition includes pupils who either attend public school career and technical education programs for secondary credit outside of the regular school day, in addition to those who fulfill the requirements of section 120A.22 by attending a nonpublic school.

The bill also specifies that the changes to the definition of shared time pupils will take effect for the 2025-2026 school year and later. This expansion aims to provide more flexibility and opportunities for students participating in career and technical education programs while still meeting their educational requirements.
