The bill amends Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 239.791, subdivision 12, to allow for the sale and dispensing of nonoxygenated gasoline at retail gasoline stations for specific uses, including collector vehicles, off-road vehicles, motorcycles, boats, snowmobiles, and small engines. The amendment introduces the provision that a retail gasoline station may have more than one nonoxygenated gasoline storage tank, specifically allowing for one tank or two tanks if the station is located within five miles of a motor sports racing facility.

Additionally, the bill stipulates that the nonoxygenated gasoline must be unleaded premium grade and requires that pump stands be clearly marked with a notice indicating the intended use of the gasoline. Retail gasoline stations that sell nonoxygenated premium gasoline are also required to register every two years with the director or an appointed entity, providing information on the total amount of nonoxygenated premium gasoline sold annually.
