The bill amends Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 239.791, subdivision 12, to allow for the installation of more than one nonoxygenated gasoline storage tank at retail gasoline stations. Specifically, it permits a single storage tank on the premises of a retail station, or up to two tanks if the station is located within five miles of a motor sports racing facility. This change aims to facilitate the sale of nonoxygenated gasoline for use in collector vehicles, off-road vehicles, motorcycles, boats, snowmobiles, and small engines, provided certain conditions are met.

Additionally, the bill stipulates that nonoxygenated gasoline must be unleaded premium grade and requires that pump stands be clearly marked with a notice indicating the specific uses for the gasoline. Retail gasoline stations that sell nonoxygenated premium gasoline are also mandated to register every two years with the director or an appointed entity, reporting the total amount of nonoxygenated premium gasoline sold annually.
