The bill appropriates $7,825,000 from the bond proceeds fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to the city of Chaska, specifically for the City Square West redevelopment project. This funding is designated for publicly owned portions of the project and is intended to cover costs related to property acquisition, demolition, design, construction, furnishing, and equipping. This appropriation is in addition to a previous allocation made in Laws 2023, chapter 72, article 2, section 9, subdivision 3.

To facilitate this appropriation, the bill authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to the amount of $7,825,000. The bond issuance will be conducted in accordance with Minnesota Statutes and the Minnesota Constitution. The provisions of this bill will take effect the day following its final enactment.
