The bill appropriates $3,500,000 from the bond proceeds fund to the Public Facilities Authority for a grant to the city of Lake Lillian. This funding is designated for the design, construction, and equipping of improvements to the city's aging and failing water and sewer infrastructure, as well as the reconstruction of city streets. The bill specifies that this appropriation is in addition to a previous allocation made in Laws 2023, chapter 72, article 2, section 10, subdivision 9.
To facilitate this appropriation, the bill authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to the amount of $3,500,000. The issuance of these bonds will follow the procedures outlined in Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and the Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7. The provisions of this bill will take effect the day after it is enacted.
