1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating the Rocori High School Drumline on winning the 2024 Percussion
1.3Scholastic Regional A Class state championship.
1.4WHEREAS, competitive sports and activities in our high schools are helpful in teaching the
1.5principles of sportsmanship and fair play, thereby contributing to better citizenship; and
1.6WHEREAS, the Rocori High School Drumline was one of four teams participating in the
1.72024 Percussion Scholastic Regional A Class state championship, which is sponsored by the
1.8Minnesota Percussion Association, at the Rochester Mayo Civic Center on April 13, 2024; and
1.9WHEREAS, the Rocori Spartans, competing in the categories of music, visual, music effect,
1.10and visual effect, finished with a score of 82.075, defeating second-place finisher Fusion Drumline
1.11of Independent School District 622, who finished with a score of 81.425, to win the state
1.12championship; and
1.13NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that
1.14congratulations are extended to the members of the Rocori High School Drumline for their
1.15sportsmanship and skill.
1.16BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.17enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.18Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to the principal of Rocori
1.19High School.
