This bill appropriates $500,000 from the general fund for fiscal year 2025 to the commissioner of employment and economic development. The funds are designated for a grant to Haven for Heroes, a nonprofit organization, to support renovations and repairs at their campus in Anoka, specifically for Cottage 3 and the auditorium. The appropriation will cover various capital improvements, including upgrades to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and security systems, as well as safety and energy efficiency enhancements, roof repairs, and site renovations to facilitate ongoing operations.

Additionally, the bill cancels a previous appropriation of $500,000 from the general fund that was allocated for Eagle's Healing Nest, as specified in prior legislation. Both the new appropriation for Haven for Heroes and the cancellation of the previous funding are effective the day following final enactment.
