The bill appropriates $6,450,000 from the bond proceeds fund to the commissioner of natural resources for the final engineering and construction of the Minnesota River State Trail. This trail will connect the Sakatah-Singing Hills State Trail in Mankato to the Trunk Highway 22 bridge over the Minnesota River in St. Peter. Additionally, the funding will cover the construction of a trail bridge over Canadian Pacific Railroad property located along Trunk Highway 22 in Blue Earth County.

To finance this appropriation, the bill authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to the amount of $6,450,000, following the procedures outlined in Minnesota Statutes and the Minnesota Constitution. The provisions of this bill will take effect the day after it is enacted.
