The bill proposes an appropriation of $6,000,000 from the bond proceeds fund to the commissioner of transportation for the reconstruction of roads in the city of Long Lake. Specifically, the funds will be used for the predesign, design, engineering, construction, and equipping of Grand Avenue, along with related improvements such as curb, gutter, storm sewer, and water main enhancements. Any remaining funds after the completion of Grand Avenue can be allocated for similar work on Upper Lea Lane, Lakeview Avenue, Central Avenue, and a segment of Glendale Avenue.

Additionally, the bill authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to the amount of $6,000,000 to finance the appropriation. The bond issuance will follow the guidelines set forth in Minnesota Statutes and the Minnesota Constitution. The provisions of this bill will take effect the day after it is enacted.
