This bill appropriates $42,100,000 from the trunk highway fund for the construction of an interchange at the intersection of U.S. Highway 14 and County State-Aid Highway 44 in Olmsted County. The funds will be used for various activities including property acquisition, environmental analysis, design, engineering, and construction of the interchange, which will also include a flyover at 7th Street NW and related infrastructure improvements.

Additionally, the bill authorizes the sale and issuance of state bonds up to the same amount of $42,100,000 to finance the appropriated funds. The commissioner of management and budget is tasked with selling these bonds in accordance with existing Minnesota statutes and constitutional provisions. The proceeds from the bond sale will be deposited into the bond proceeds account within the trunk highway fund. The provisions of this bill will take effect the day after it is enacted.
