This bill appropriates $3,500,000 from the bond proceeds fund to the Public Facilities Authority for the city of South Haven to enhance its clean drinking water system. The funds will be used for designing, engineering, constructing, and equipping improvements, which include replacing water mains, service lines, meters, and upgrading lift stations and access roads.
To finance this appropriation, the bill authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue state bonds up to the amount of $3,500,000, following the guidelines set forth in Minnesota Statutes and the Minnesota Constitution. The provisions of this bill will take effect the day after it is enacted.
