Additionally, the bill stipulates that adult foster care facilities must ensure that a registered nurse or pharmacist provides annual medication administration training for unlicensed staff, covering various aspects of medication handling and administration. Facilities are also required to maintain comprehensive training records for staff, conduct annual training assessments, and ensure that no staff member has unsupervised contact with residents until they have completed the necessary training. After one year of employment, direct care workers must complete an additional eight hours of continuing education annually, focusing on the unique needs of residents in adult foster care facilities.
