These criteria include holding a valid license in the same occupation from an equivalent authority in another state, maintaining good standing for at least one year, and having met the necessary education and experience requirements. Additionally, the applicant must not have any disciplinary actions or investigations pending in any state or foreign country, and must pay all applicable fees.

The bill also stipulates that if the Department administers an examination on state-specific laws, applicants may be required to pass that examination before receiving their license. Furthermore, the Department is mandated to issue or deny the license request within 90 days of receiving a completed application. However, this section does not apply to licenses issued under interstate licensing compacts or to any criteria established by such compacts.
