Following the meeting, the commission is required to provide its recommendations to the director within 90 days, allowing the director to adopt or amend rules or codes as needed for implementation. If necessary, the director must make any required changes to the rules or code by January 1, 2027. This legislative change aims to facilitate the development of multi-family residential units while ensuring that safety and health standards are maintained.
