Furthermore, starting with the 2027-2028 school year, school districts and public school academies are strongly encouraged to incorporate one of the model programs into their curricula. If the list of programs is made available before the 2026-2027 school year, schools are encouraged to begin implementation at that time. This initiative aims to enhance the teaching of cursive writing in Michigan's public education system.
