The mental health coordinator's role includes coordinating state funding for mental health services, integrating community-based mental health services, facilitating behavioral health assessment teams, and developing a comprehensive school-community mental health system. Additionally, the coordinator will oversee Medicaid billing related to mental health services and work with mental health professionals to support students at risk for behavioral health issues. The enactment of this bill is contingent upon the passage of two other specified bills in the 103rd Legislature.
