The bill amends the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act by adding a new section, 43540g, which mandates the Secretary of State to provide voter registration applications to the Department of Natural Resources and designated individuals responsible for issuing resident hunting, fur harvester's, or fishing licenses. The Department or its designees are required to display and make these voter registration applications available to the public and may inquire if individuals applying for licenses wish to receive a voter registration application. However, they are prohibited from assisting applicants in completing these forms.

Additionally, the bill stipulates that the Department must provide a link to the voter registration application website for individuals applying for licenses online. Importantly, it clarifies that the Department and its designees are not considered designated voter registration agencies and are not authorized to engage in voter registration activities, such as accepting or collecting completed or incomplete voter registration applications.
