The bill amends the Michigan Insurance Code of 1956 by adding a new section, 3406ss, which mandates that, starting January 1, 2026, insurers providing health insurance policies in Michigan must cover specific immunization-related services. These services include coverage for qualified immunizing agents listed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention when administered by a pharmacist at a pharmacy within the insurer's network, as well as coverage for qualified laboratory tests and drugs dispensed by pharmacists under the same conditions.

Additionally, the bill stipulates that the required coverage is subject to the health insurance policy's utilization management, prior authorization, or precertification requirements. Insurers may also impose applicable cost-sharing measures, such as deductibles, co-insurance, or co-payments, on the coverage mandated by this new section.
