The bill amends the Michigan Memorial Highway Act to designate a specific section of highway M-22 in Leelanau County as the "Company K Indian Veterans 1st Michigan Sharpshooters Civil War Memorial Highway." This designation applies to the portion of the highway that begins at the intersection with North Stallman Road and continues north to the intersection with North Putnam Road.

This new section, Sec. 108, is added to honor the contributions of the Company K Indian Veterans who served in the 1st Michigan Sharpshooters during the Civil War, thereby recognizing their historical significance and sacrifice.
