SUMMARY:
House Bill 6173 would amend the Seller Disclosure Act to provide that the seller’s disclosure
form required to be used when selling or transferring property must include the most recent
copy of an inspection report for the property’s septic tank when the disclosure form is provided
by the transferor or their agent to the prospective transferee or their agent.
The bill would allow a form printed before the bill’s effective date that was in compliance with
the act at that time to continue to be used (and be considered in compliance) for 90 days after
the bill takes effect.
