A bill to amend 1936 (Ex Sess) PA 1, entitled
"Michigan employment security act,"
(MCL 421.1 to 421.75) by adding section 19b.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 Sec. 19b. Notwithstanding any other provision of this act, an
2 employer's contribution rate as of January 1, 2024 must not be
3 increased if the employer, on or after April 3, 2024, laid off
4 employees because of avian influenza in poultry or livestock.
