A bill to amend 1956 PA 218, entitled
"The insurance code of 1956,"
(MCL 500.100 to 500.8302) by adding section 3406pp.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 Sec. 3406pp. (1) A health insurance policy delivered, issued
2 for delivery, or renewed in this state must provide coverage for
3 the treatment of pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders
4 associated with streptococcal infections and pediatric acute-onset
5 neuropsychiatric syndrome, including, but not limited to, the use
6 of intravenous immunoglobulin therapy.

1 Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days
2 after the date it is enacted into law.
3 Enacting section 2. This amendatory act applies to health
4 insurance policies delivered, executed, issued, amended, adjusted,
5 or renewed in this state, or outside of this state if covering
6 residents of this state, beginning 90 days after the date this
7 amendatory act is enacted into law.
