SENATE BILL NO. 770

A bill to provide for the elimination of daylight saving time
in this state; and to provide for a referendum.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 Sec. 1. As authorized in 15 USC 260a, this entire state,
2 including all political subdivisions of this state, is exempt from
3 and shall not follow daylight saving time or the advancement of
4 time as it is otherwise referred to.
5 Enacting section 1. This act does not take effect unless
6 approved by a majority of the electors of this state voting on the
7 question at the general election to be held November 5, 2024. This
8 act shall be submitted to the qualified electors of this state at

1 that election as provided by the Michigan election law, 1954 PA
2 116, MCL 168.1 to 168.992. If approved by the electors, this act
3 takes effect 30 days after the date of the official declaration of
4 the vote.
