SUMMARY:
Senate Bill 663 would amend the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act
(NREPA) to remove language that prohibits new administrative rules from being developed
and issued by the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) under Part 31
(Water Resources Protection) of NREPA, except for those relating to permits for ocean-going
vessels as detailed in section 3112 of the act, after December 31, 2006.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Senate Bill 663 is not likely to affect revenues or costs for EGLE or local units of government.
