A bill to amend 1937 PA 321, entitled
"Uniform veterans' guardianship act,"
by amending section 13 (MCL 35.83).
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 Sec. 13. Maintenance and support. A guardian shall not apply
2 any portion of the estate of his the guardian's ward for the
3 support and maintenance of any person individual other than said
4 the ward, his the ward's minor children, and, his wife (if she if
5 the ward's spouse and the ward be are living together) together,
6 the ward's spouse, except upon petition to and order of the court

1 after a hearing, notice of which has been given to the proper
2 office of the veterans administration in the manner and within the
3 time provided in as required by section 9. of this act.
4 Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect
5 unless Senate Joint Resolution ____ or House Joint Resolution F
6 (request no. 00367'23) of the 102nd Legislature becomes a part of
7 the state constitution of 1963 as provided in section 1 of article
8 XII of the state constitution of 1963.
