This bill amends the provision of law that requires an emergency medical services person to administer and dispense naloxone hydrochloride or another opioid overdose- reversing medication in compliance with protocols and training developed by the Emergency Medical Services' Board. The bill provides that failure to comply with this provision of law, including failure to comply with any protocols or training requirements developed by the board pursuant to this provision of law, is a civil violation for which a fine may be assessed in an amount not to exceed $1,000 per violation.
