This bill authorizes the town of East Bridgewater to grant up to four additional licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages not to be consumed on the premises, overriding section 17 of chapter 138 of the General Laws. The specific licenses will be allocated to four businesses: Shyamsundara Corporation (Joppa Market), Crocetti Oakdale Packing Co, Inc. (Crocettis Oakdale Packing), T Sikder Corporation (T Square Food Stop), and Om Tri-Town Express, Inc. (Om Tri Town Express). These licenses will adhere to the regulations of chapter 138, except for the stipulations in section 17.

The bill also stipulates that the licensing authority cannot transfer these licenses to different locations but may grant them to new applicants at the same location under certain conditions. If a license is terminated or not renewed, it must be returned to the licensing authority, which can then reissue it within three years. Additionally, upon receiving a new license, the licensee must return any existing license for the sale of wine and malt beverages not to be consumed on the premises. The act will take effect immediately upon passage.
