This bill authorizes the town of Middleton to allow police officer Richard Kassiotis to continue his employment until he reaches the age of 67, retires, or is relieved of his duties, whichever comes first. It stipulates that Kassiotis must be mentally and physically capable of performing his duties, and the select board has the authority to require annual medical examinations at the town's expense to assess his capability.

Additionally, the bill specifies that no further deductions will be made from Kassiotis's regular compensation under chapter 32 of the General Laws after he turns 65. Upon retirement for superannuation, he will receive a retirement allowance equivalent to what he would have received had he retired at age 65. This act will take effect immediately upon its passage.
