This bill proposes the removal of seating capacity requirements for restaurants in the town of Belmont that hold licenses for the sale of alcoholic beverages to be consumed on the premises. Specifically, it allows restaurants licensed under chapter 128 of the acts of 1997 and chapter 14 of the acts of 2004 to have any number of seats, thereby eliminating previous restrictions.

Additionally, the bill amends existing laws by deleting specific seating capacity requirements from two acts: it removes the stipulation of having a seating capacity of not less than 60 and no more than 250 seats from chapter 388 of the acts of 2010, and it also removes the requirement of having a seating capacity of not less than 39 and not more than 125 seats from chapter 15 of the acts of 2014. The act will take effect immediately upon passage.
