This bill authorizes the town of Raynham to grant an additional license for the sale of all alcoholic beverages not to be consumed on the premises to V.B. Gas, Inc. D/B/A Save More Gas and Convenience, located at 1348 New State Highway, US-44. This license will be granted notwithstanding section 17 of chapter 138 of the General Laws, but will still be subject to the other provisions of chapter 138. The licensing authority is restricted from transferring this license to another location but may grant it to a new applicant at the same location under specific conditions, including the submission of letters from the department of revenue and the department of unemployment assistance confirming good standing.

Additionally, if the license is terminated, not renewed, or otherwise becomes inactive, it must be returned to the licensing authority, which may then grant it to a new applicant within three years under the same conditions. The bill also stipulates that the new license must be issued within one year of the act's effective date, and upon issuance, the licensee must return their existing license for the sale of wine and malt beverages not to be consumed on the premises. The act will take effect immediately upon passage.
