This bill authorizes the town of Cohasset to issue five additional licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be consumed on the premises, despite the restrictions outlined in section 17 of chapter 138 of the General Laws. The licenses will be granted by the town's licensing authority to establishments located within designated economic development zones: the Village District, 3A Commercial District, and Harbor District. Each license will be clearly marked to indicate its specific district and will be subject to all regulations of chapter 138, except for section 17.

The bill outlines specific conditions for the issuance and transfer of these licenses. They must be exercised in designated dining areas of common victuallers and cannot be transferred outside their initial zoned areas, although they can be granted to new applicants within those areas if certain tax and compliance requirements are met. Additionally, any licenses that are terminated or not renewed must be returned to the licensing authority, which can then reissue them under the same conditions. All licenses must be issued within five years of the act's passage.
