This bill directs the City of Boston Police Department to waive the maximum age requirement for original appointment of police officers specifically for Luis Cabral. It overrides any existing laws, including Chapter 43 of the Acts of 2007, that may impose such age restrictions. Provided that Luis Cabral meets all other qualifications set by the Boston Police Department, he will be eligible for certification for the position of police officer.

Additionally, the bill includes a severability clause, ensuring that if any part of the act is deemed unconstitutional or invalid by a court, the remaining provisions will still be effective. The act is set to take effect immediately upon its passage.
