This bill authorizes the town of Swansea to issue up to six additional licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be consumed on the premises, specifically within the Swansea Mall Redevelopment Area. This is an exception to section 17 of chapter 138 of the General Laws, allowing the licensing authority to grant these licenses under specific conditions. The licenses must be clearly marked to indicate their association with the Swansea Mall Redevelopment Area and are subject to all provisions of chapter 138, except for section 17. The authority can then grant the license to a new applicant within the same area.
