The committee on Ways and Means, to whom was referred the Bill
authorizing the county of Nantucket to convey certain land situated in the
town and county of Nantucket for purposes of conveyance to the town of
Nantucket (House, No. 4120), reports recommending that the same ought
to pass with an amendment substituting therefor the accompanying bill
(House, No. 4938) [Local Approval Received] [Representative Sullivan-
Almeida of Abington dissents].

An Act authorizing the county of Nantucket to convey certain parcels of land in the town and
county of Nantucket to the town of Nantucket.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. (a) The county of Nantucket may convey to the town of Nantucket 4 parcels
2 currently held by the county for the purposes of a bicycle path and identified as P-23, P-24, P-25
3 and P-28 on page 2 of a plan of land entitled “Washington Street Extension Bicycle Path
4 Easement Plan Nantucket, Massachusetts Prepared for County of Nantucket” prepared by
5 Blackwell and Associates, Inc. and dated October 22, 1996, recorded with the Nantucket county
6 registry of deeds in book 049-O, page 1.
7 (b) Any conveyance pursuant to subsection (a) shall be on terms and conditions that the
8 select board for the town of Nantucket may deem appropriate, which may include the reservation
9 of restrictions and easements.
10 SECTION 2. Chapter 30B of the General Laws and any rights of first refusal in the
11 commonwealth pursuant to section 14 of chapter 34 of the General Laws shall not apply to any
12 conveyance pursuant to section 1.

13 SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
