The committee on Housing, to whom were referred the petition
(accompanied by bill, Senate, No. 891) of Patricia D. Jehlen, Adam Gomez,
Mike Connolly, Jack Patrick Lewis and other members of the General Court
for legislation to prevent COVID-19 evictions and foreclosures and
promote an equitable housing recovery; and the petition (accompanied by
bill, House, No. 1434) of Frank A. Moran, Kevin G. Honan and others for
legislation to establish ongoing stabilization of the housing market for
renters and homeowners during the COVID-19 emergency and recovery,
reports the accompanying order (House, No. 5268) ought to be adopted.

1 Ordered, That the committee on Housing be authorized to sit during a recess of the
2 General Court to make an investigation and study of Senate document numbered 891 and House
3 document numbered 1434, relative to Covid-19 evictions and equitable housing recovery.
4 Said committee shall report to the General Court the results of its investigation and study
5 and its recommendations, if any, together with drafts of legislation necessary to carry such
6 recommendations into effect, by filing the same with the Clerk of the House of Representatives
7 on or before December 31, 2022.
