House Resolution No. by Representative Boyer commends Emma Renee Bonin for her selection as the 2026-2027 St. Francis Regis Church 30th touffe Festival Queen. Emma, a 19-year-old from New Iberia, Louisiana, is a 2025 graduate of New Iberia Senior High School and currently a freshman at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she studies kinesiology and maintains a 3.8 GPA. In addition to her academic achievements, she is actively involved in various organizations, works at Tutu Cute Vinyl Creations, and serves as a cheer coach at New Heights Gymnastics.

Emma is also recognized for her advocacy against impaired driving, stemming from her personal experience as a survivor of a head-on collision caused by a drunk driver. She dedicates her time to educating others about the dangers of drunk driving and volunteers at festivals throughout Louisiana. With aspirations to become an athletic trainer, particularly for special needs athletes in the Special Olympics, Emma is celebrated for her inspiring contributions to her community and her commitment to making a positive impact. The resolution expresses appreciation for her achievements and wishes her continued success in her future endeavors.
