House Resolution No. by Representative Butler designates Tuesday, April 28, 2026, as Louisiana 4-H and Future Farmers of America (FFA) Day at the state capitol. This resolution recognizes the significant contributions of the Louisiana 4-H and FFA organizations, which are among the largest youth leadership programs in the state. These organizations empower young individuals through hands-on learning, service, and career development, fostering essential skills in leadership, citizenship, and agriculture.
Additionally, the resolution commends the state officers of both organizations for their dedication and service. The 2025-2026 Louisiana 4-H state officers include President Dayton Pennington, Vice President Ethan Fusilier, Secretary Joe Lewis, Historian/Reporter Luke Mire, and Parliamentarian Armund Wilson. The Louisiana FFA state officers recognized are President Owen Kelly, Vice Presidents Lola Frink, Jacob Craft, Baileigh Conner, and Bob Bourgeois, Secretary Molly Beaubouef, Treasurer AndiKaye Ainsworth, Reporter Anthony Plaisance, Sentinel Jaiden Porche, and Parliamentarian Madelyn Fossum. A copy of the resolution will be sent to the department head of 4-H and the executive secretary of the Louisiana FFA Association.
