The Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 26RS-328 establishes the Work-Based Learning Coordination Task Force in Louisiana, aimed at enhancing work-based learning opportunities such as internships, apprenticeships, and job shadowing. The task force will assess existing programs across various educational and workforce development agencies, identify gaps, and propose recommendations for improving coordination between education and workforce systems. The goal is to expand access to high-quality work-based learning experiences for students and job seekers, ultimately aligning workforce training with employer needs.

The task force will consist of representatives from key educational and workforce organizations, including the Louisiana Department of Education, Louisiana Works, and various business and community leaders. It is tasked with creating an inventory of work-based learning activities, recommending quality standards, and proposing a permanent state office to oversee these initiatives. The task force is required to submit a report with its findings and legislative proposals by March 1, 2027, and will be staffed by Louisiana Works and the Louisiana Department of Education. Members will serve without compensation, except for any entitled per diem or expense reimbursements.
