House Bill No. by Representative Boyer proposes the establishment of a special prestige license plate known as the "Louisiana Dental Hygienists' Association" plate. This plate will be available to any citizen of Louisiana who is an active or past member of the Louisiana Dental Hygienists' Association, contingent upon a minimum of 1,000 applicants. The design of the plate will feature the words "Registered Dental Hygienist" and "Louisiana Dental Hygienists' Association," along with a symbol representing the association, and will be colored white and light purple. The Department of Public Safety and Corrections (DPS&C) will be responsible for creating the plate once the necessary statutory provisions are met.

Additionally, the bill stipulates that an annual royalty fee of $25 will be collected for the plate, alongside a handling fee of $3.50 to cover administrative costs. The collected fees will be forwarded to the Louisiana Dental Hygienists' Association and used solely for its activities. The secretary of the DPS&C is also tasked with adopting any necessary rules and regulations to implement these provisions.
