The bill also directs the Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) to erect and maintain appropriate signage for this designation. However, the installation of the signs is contingent upon the receipt of local or private funds that cover the actual costs incurred by the department for materials, fabrication, mounting posts, and installation, with a maximum limit of $750 per sign. The effective date for this designation is set for August 1, 2026.
